Job Description: 9. JD – Deputy MEP Manager – HCM

1️⃣ Job Responsibilities

🔧 Technical & Design Support
⚙️ Assist in reviewing MEP designs and technical evaluations to ensure compliance with project specifications
💡 Provide specialized input on Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and ELV systems
🛠️ Support the resolution of technical issues to maintain design integrity and system performance

🤝 Coordination & Stakeholder Management
🔗 Collaborate with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution
🗣️ Participate in design coordination meetings and provide updates on MEP progress
🏗️ Ensure seamless integration of MEP systems with Architectural and Structural elements

✅ Quality Assurance & Compliance
📜 Monitor MEP design deliverables for compliance with local and international codes and regulations
🔍 Assist in implementing corrective actions and quality improvement measures

📑 Documentation & Reporting
📐 Review MEP shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documentation
🗂️ Maintain accurate records including specifications, reports, and as-built documentation
📊 Support preparation of progress reports and technical recommendations for Senior Management

2️⃣ Job Requirements

🎓 Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred), Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
📜 Professional registration in MEP Engineering is mandatory
📅 Minimum 15+ years of experience in MEP Engineering design
🏗️ At least 5+ years in a management or leadership role
🏢 Proven experience delivering large-scale commercial, residential, or industrial projects
🤝 Experience working with consultants, contractors, and developers
🗣️ Native / bilingual-level English proficiency (additional languages are an advantage)

3️⃣ Technical & Functional Competencies

⚡ Strong knowledge of MEP systems, international codes, and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, IEC, BS, etc.)
💻 Proficiency in MEP software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, HAP, ETAP, and similar tools
🌱 Familiarity with green building standards and sustainable MEP practices
🤝 Strong coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills
🧠 Strong problem-solving ability with high attention to detail
🔄 Flexible, adaptable, and able to perform effectively in fast-paced project environments
