Job Description: 11. JD- Principal Architect – HN

1️⃣ Job Responsibilities

🏛️ Act as the design-phase project lead with overall responsibility for multidisciplinary design coordination and delivery
📐 Lead and manage architectural design while coordinating all disciplines, including CS, MEP, landscape, and specialist consultants
🗂️ Manage design scope, program, resources, and deliverables across all disciplines during design stages
🤝 Serve as the primary point of contact with Clients for design-phase coordination, decisions, and submissions
🔗 Ensure consistent integration of architectural intent with engineering, BIM, and consultant inputs
📅 Plan, monitor, and control design schedules, submissions, reviews, and approvals across disciplines
⚠️ Identify, manage, and resolve design coordination issues, risks, and changes during the design phase
✅ Review and endorse key design outputs prior to Client submission to ensure quality and alignment
🗣️ Lead and facilitate design coordination meetings, workshops, and multidisciplinary reviews
📜 Ensure compliance with design standards, contractual obligations, and local regulatory requirements
🌱 Support mentoring, collaboration, and capability development across the multidisciplinary design team

2️⃣ Job Requirements

🎓 Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture from an accredited university
📜 Professional Registration in Architectural Design is required
🏅 Green Building, PMP, or BIM certifications are an advantage
📅 Minimum 15+ years of professional experience in architectural design
🏗️ At least 5+ years in a senior architectural leadership, design management, or project management role
🏥 Proven experience delivering large-scale, complex projects across multiple sectors (e.g. healthcare, aviation, mixed-use, civic)
🗣️ Professional working proficiency in English (additional languages are an advantage)

3️⃣ Technical & Functional Competencies

🧠 Strong leadership in architectural design and design management across project stages
📊 Solid understanding of project management, including scope, program, deliverables, and coordination
🤝 Proven ability to lead and align multidisciplinary teams (Architecture, Structure, MEP, Landscape, Specialists)
📘 Good knowledge of international design standards, local codes, and regulatory approval processes
🧩 Experience working in BIM-enabled and collaborative design environments
🔍 Strong capability to critically review, assess, and endorse multidisciplinary design outputs
⚠️ Ability to identify, manage, and mitigate design risks, changes, and coordination issues
🌍 Comfortable working across multiple projects, offices, and cultural environments
🌟 Strong client-facing, communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
